Your 96th Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast

Hey there Comic Fans, welcome to another B'Cast, your 96th B'Cast.
So what's up for this edition? Well, more comics.
Just the other day, I was sitting down with a few friends to talk about a project I wanted to do.  It's been on my mind for a while now.  Never got it off the ground and I never thought I would get a chance to actually do it but it looks like it could happen.
I'll keep you updated here if this project of mine gets going. If I don't mention it at all in the months to come, then you'll know that it ain't happening. Oh well.
Now, on to some comics. Three of my favorite issues of the Uncanny X-Men. Here we go.

My, what big teeth you have! Yikes.  Well, the blurb on the cover says it all,  the Brood is back!
This is The Uncanny X-Men issue 232. Cover by Marc Silvestri and Dan Green.
In this issue, the Brood lands on Earth and proceed to create a band of super-powered humans to aid them in infecting the Earth. Thankfully the X-Men sees the situation a little differently.

Another beautiful cover by the team of Silvestri and Green. This is the cover to issue 233. In this issue, the X-Men battle the Brood through the city of Denver.  Rogue, Wolverine and Psylocke are captured by the Brood, which brings us to the next issue.

So, what happens in this issue? Well, it wouldn't be fair for me to spoil it for you, especially if you haven't read these three issues.
I highly recommend you go out of your way and locate these three issues. Great story by Chris Claremont and of course spectacular art by Marc Silvestri, Dan Green and Joe Rubinstein.
As a matter of fact Marvel collected all three issues into a collection called X-Men: Earthfall issue 1.
It reprints all three issues in one collection.
I forgot to mention, throughout the three issues, Chris Claremont was also laying the groundwork for Marvel's major cross over event, Inferno. So a lot to keep you interested.
These three issues are some of my favorites, they're what I like in comics, story and artwork.

The 76th Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast: Even More Comics

I love this issue of the Amazing Spider-Man.  Great cover, don't you think?

These are great covers, don't you think?  Ron Frenz and Joe Rubinstein both did some really great work on The Amazing Spider-Man.

The 71st Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast: The Infinity Gauntlet!!

Hey ComicBook Fans,

Welcome to another edition of my blog: The Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast.  This time around I'm going to be talking about a 1991 Six part Mini Series from Marvel Comics.  The Mini Series entitled: The Infinity Gauntlet!!

The Infinity Gauntlet was written by Jim Starlin, penciled by George Perez and Ron Lim, Inked by Joe Rubinstein and Tom Christopher.  Infinity Gauntlet was a storyline which is the culmination of events from Silver Surfer # 34, The 2 part Thanos Quest also written by Jim Starlin.  The Infinity Gauntlet was a thrilling six issue mini series which saw Thanos The Mad Titan using the Infinity Gauntlet which has the six Infinity Gems .  Each Gem grants its bearer complete mastery over one aspect of the multiverse: Time, Space, Mind, Soul, Reality, and Power. Combined on the Infinity Gauntlet it provides Omnipresence, Omniscience, and Omnipotence.

Now an all-powerful and by the way desperate Thanos tries to win the affections of Death.  He decides to offer the entity a gift of love by completing a task she had given him, erasing half the sentient life in the Marvel Universe.

And Thanos did in fact do what Death wanted, he literally wiped out half the universe which includes most of the X-Men, Daredevil, Rick Jones, The Fantastic Four, Alpha Flight, The Avengers and more.  Thanos did this simply by snapping his fingers.

The surviving heroes on Earth band together guided by the newly resurrected Adam Warlock to stop Thanos.

With so many heroes missing in action, a few alliances had to be made, including one with a certain monarch.

You just knew Doom had his own agenda in all this.  You knew he was going to do something really devious no matter what happens.  Will the heroes defeat Thanos?  Will they be able to stop the Mad Titan's mad schemes?  This mini series answers all your questions in 6 thrilling issues.

In a bid to impress Death, Thanos allows the heroes a slight chance of winning, but easily defeats and kills almost all of them. Thanos then goes on to defeat and imprison many of the universe's cosmic entities.

Will the Cosmic Entities be able to stop the Mad Titan?  What happens to Earth's heroes?  Will they triumph in the end?  Well the only way to know that is to read the mini series, you won't regret getting The Infinity Gauntlet and adding it to your collection.  I loved Infinity Gauntlet so much, I bought the 6 issues and also a trade-paperback.
You may have heard (well who hasn't) that the next Avengers movie will be based on Infinity Gauntlet, it'll be called Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2.  I can't wait for that movie to happen.  I made a video about the Infinity Gauntlet and Avengers: Infinity War in my YouTube channel.  I uploaded it earlier today, if you'd like to have a look at my video, here's the link right here:
