Your 91st Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast.

Hi, thanks for dropping by for Your 91st Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast. So what am I going to share for this edition of the B'Cast? Well, I'll tell ya, I'm going to put together a few more pics of George Perez's work. So I'm working on that but before I put that out, here's a look at some of my favorite comic covers.
This is my all time favorite comic book cover. This is the issue of The Mighty Thor that introduced Beta Ray Bill.  I love what Walt Simonson did for this cover. I can remember when I first saw this cover and wondered to myself.. .who in the world is that!!??
Another favorite of mine is this cover by Dale Keown and Mark Farmer. I love Keown's art on the Incredible Hulk but there's another reason why this is another favorite of mine, an appearance by the U-Foes. Great cover!
I've always been a fan of John Byrne. I love his work on Alpha Flight and Fantastic Four. This issue of The Incredible Hulk remains my favorite as it features the Bi-Coastal Avengers as they take on The Incredible Hulk. Another great issue and great cover by John Byrne.
Another Walt Simonson cover. Simonson put his mark on Marvel's First Family as he did both the art and the script on Fantastic Four. For this issue, he took the FF into the time stream and brought a familiar face with them,  well two familiar faces. I'm talking about Iron Man and The Mighty Thor. Great cover!
After Walt Simonson left the Mighty Thor, I stopped reading Thor. .. until I saw this issue and I jumped back to reading the Mighty Thor.  Ron Frenz and Brett Breeding created some awesome covers for this title.
I like how Frenz and Breeding drew Thor in his battle armor. Their run on Thor remains a favorite of mine. Love their covers.
This is a recent cover. The cover is from The Immortal Hulk by Alex Ross. I love Alex Ross's art on this cover with the Absorbing Man taking on the Immortal Hulk.
Here's a cover from The Uncanny X-Men by Jim Lee and Scott Williams. Great cover.
I absolutely love this cover. Look at the beautiful detail by Liam Sharp. It is so striking and it just grabs your attention. Great work by Liam Sharp.
Here's the cover to X-O Manowar by Bart Sears and Ray Kryssing.
Okay, one more cover. Here's another favorite of mine. Featuring my favorite super villain team, none other than the U-Foes. Cover art by Sal Buscema and Al Milgrom.
That's a look at my all time favorite comic book covers. Hope you liked it. I enjoyed seeing these covers as I was posting them. I'm working on more editions of Your Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast and I'll post them soon.
Thanks for dropping by. Take care Comic Fan!

Your 90th Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast.

Hey it's Your 90th B'Cast, only ten to go to Your 100th Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast and it only took me a few.. ...years.
So for this edition of the B'Cast, I'm going to feature the art of George Perez. Yeah I'm sure you know by now, George Perez has announced his retirement which is sad. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he can now take a break and enjoy a well deserved retirement but I was hoping that one day I will meet him but it seems that's not going to happen.
That's a cover George Perez will be remembered for, Crisis On Infinite Earths.
And he's also well known for his run on the New Teen Titans with Marv Wolfman.
Whenever he draws a cover, he puts in a lot and I mean a lot of details.
Apart from the big two of comics, George Perez has also worked on a number of other titles for other companies. I wish I had the chance to see his work on Isaac Asimov's I-Bots. Here's the cover to issue # 1.
He's worked on Ultraforce for Malibu Comics.
And I believe he's left his unique mark on the Man Of Steel as well. I love that cover.
There are very few artists who can do what George Perez does. The amount of detail in his work and the number of characters he's able to draw is just unimaginable.
I was hoping one day to meet George but I don't think that will happen. I just wanted to share this post today. I'll have another post soon featuring more of George Perez's artwork. Some of my favorites.
Thanks for dropping by.  Take care and see you next time comic fan.

Your 89th Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast

Hi, welcome to your 89th Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast and for this edition, I'm going to feature the art of John Romita Jr.
I'm going to focus on his run on the Uncanny X-Men. He had a memorable run with Marvel's Merry Bunch of Mutants together with writer Chris Claremont and inkers Dan Green, All Williamson, Bob Wiacek, P. Craig Russell and Steve Leialoha just to name a few.
I'm going to share a few of the covers Jr.Jr drew over the years.
If you're a fan of Jr. Jr, I hope you'll enjoy this little walk down Memory Lane.
We begin with the cover to The Uncanny X-Men # 176.
John Romita Jr provided both the pencil and inks for this cover.
The Uncanny X-Men # 177 with pencils and inks by John Romita Jr.
Here's The Uncanny X-Men # 178 with Dan Green inking Jr. Jr's pencils. The X-Men versus Freedom Force.
The cover to The Uncanny X-Men # 179 by John Romita Jr and Dan Green. Featuring the Morlocks. This cover always looked a little weird to me.
Kitty Pryde almost got hitched.
Another beautiful John Romita Jr and Dan Green cover.
Young dragons in love. Kitty Pryde's pet dragon Lockheed falls in love.
Here's the cover to The Uncanny X-Men # 182 by John Romita Jr featuring Rogue and what looks like the weapon called the neutralizer created by Forge.
This is my favorite issue of the Uncanny X-Men by Chris Claremont, John Romita Jr and Dan Green. In this issue, Wolverine and Nightcrawler takes Colossus to a bar as Wolverine wants to teach Colossus a lesson because he broke Kitty's heart. Well, one slight stumbling block to Logan's plan. The stumbling block comes in the form of the Juggernaut. Great sstory with great work. If you have a chance, read this issue.
The cover to The Uncanny X-Men # 183 by John Romita Jr and Dan Green. In this issue, we meet Selene, a vampire! She had a cameo in the last issue. We also had a look at Charles Xavier's new costume.
Another great cover by John Romita Jr and Dan Green. Rogue: Public Enemy! Another great issue by Chris Claremont together with Jr. Jr and Dan Green. Remember the neutralizer created by Forge.. .Well let's just say that weapon was used in this issue. You gotta read this issue as well.
Well, that's a look at the covers by John Romita Jr and Dan Green. Hope you enjoyed this walk down Memory Lane and looking at those covers. I love them, just wish I had all of them.
I'll be back with more John Romita Jr covers soon, so I hope you'll join me again.
Thanks for dropping by. Drop by again next time for another edition of Your Co(s)mic ComicBook B'Cast. Take care comic fan!
